Slingsby Local History Weekend – 2012

Following the success of the weekend earlier this year another Local History Weekend is planned for 17th and 18th March 2011.

It is hoped that this will take place in the church and village hall as before and will feature farming in Slingsby over the last two centuries. This will involve short talks and exhibitions of objects, maps, farming photographs etc. We are starting to plan this now and need help both with planning and organising, and help over the weekend to look after the exhibits.  If you have interesting and relevant information to contribute, would like to join the group planning the event, can offer help on the weekend, or just wish to be kept informed of meetings etc. please e-mail Margaret Mackinder  on [email protected] or ring 01653 628303 (alternative contact Kate Giles 01653 628882).
