Talk: Resistance – futile gesture or the supreme act of faith?

Saturday 8th June, 6.30pm, Hovingham Village Hall, Main Street, Hovingham YO62 4LF

Can one person really make a difference? And what does it take to speak truth to power? The remarkable Heather Stroud – author, campaigner, activist and Ryedale mother – reveals her inspirational story and seeks to demonstrate how each one us can find the motivation, the strength and the courage to speak our for what we believe to be right. It is a journey that threads through Hong Kong, Vietnam and Palestine all the way to Ryedale. In conversation, Heather will tell how – against all the odds – she took on international governments, made a real and lasting impact and changed lives.
