Sunday 8th December 2019, 10am, Slingsby All Saints’ church
Please join us for an hour or two to help clean the church for Christmas, now that roof works and sanding of floors have been completed. A few willing volunteers will make a huge difference. With your help we can have the job done and dusted (and even polished off) before noon. Feel free to bring your own cleaning materials.
Saturday 7th December, 10 am, All Saints’ church Slingsby
Dr. Dav Smith of the Department of Buildings Archaeology, University of York will lead a tour of the church building and give us his latest insights into the detail and history of the building. Although primarily for Local History Group members, others are welcome to attend. Meet from 9.45am for a prompt 10am start. Warm clothing recommended.
The Grapes Inn, Slingsby Wednesday 27th November, 7.30pm
The Grapes will once again host the AGM of the Triangle and village website. All residents, especially those who read the Triangle and visit the website, are cordially invited to attend. Refreshments provided. Help us by giving us your feedback.
Saturday 2nd November 2019, Slingsby Sports Club
Free entry, donations welcome. 6.30pm – bonfire lit, 7pm – fireworks. Burgers, food, refreshments, tombola. All welcome.
Sunday 13th October 2019, 11am, Castle Howard
We start at 11am at Castle Howard car park. A family walk of 3.5 miles. All dogs must be on leads. We walk through the estate and then on public footpaths. Could be muddy so come prepared.
