Local History Group Meeting

The next Local History Group meeting will take place in the Village Hall Committee Room at 7.30 p.m. on the Tuesday 16th April.  It is open to all, but we ask those who attend to contribute £1 towards the cost of hall hire.  More details can be found in The Triangle.

 

 

Ryedale Festival Launch Concert, Norton

Monday 22nd April 2013 at St Peter’s Church Norton at 7.30 pm

The vibrant and award-winning Gould Piano Trio will be playing a programme of Haydn, Arensky, Beethoven and Shostakovitch.

Tickets are available from the Ryedale Festival Box Office priced £18 (allocated centre section) and £12 (unallocated side aisles).

This concert launches the programme for the 2013 Festival which runs from 12th to 28th July this year. Be there and be one of the first to receive the free programme brochure!

May Day Celebrations at Slingsby

Always a popular event in the village, the May Day Celebrations in Slingsby will take place this year on Monday, May 6th starting at 12 noon on the village green.

There will be Maypole dancing by Slingsby School children,  music by the White Star Band and dancing by the  Garland Dancers.  There will be tea available and a variety of stalls will be on the green. A raffle will also take place.

The Annual Scarecrow Trail can be followed throughout the weekend from the 4th May.
