Slingsby Scarecrow Trail 2013

delboy-003

Lovely Jubbly! The highly entertaining Slingsby Scarecrow Trail takes place as usual this year over the Bank Holiday weekend (4th, 5th and 6th May).

In recent years over 30 scarecrows have been entered into the annual competition. Scarecrows will be on display around the village raising funds for the Friends of Slingsby School.

Scarecrow trails will be on sale from the caravan sites, Tony’s Village Shop and Slingsby School. Everyone who buys a trail is encouraged to submit a vote for their favourite scarecrow with the votes put into a draw to receive prizes, the details of which will be found on the trail.

Annual Parish Assembly 29 April

slingsby_village_hall_ii

Monday 29 April 7pm, Slingsby Village Hall – This is a reminder about an important event. The Annual Parish Assembly is open to all residents and, as such, YOU are urged to attend. It is your chance to hear more about what your councillors have been doing for you over the past 12 months, ask them questions and have your say. Think you can make a difference? Why not put your name forward – there is currently one vacancy on the Parish Council.

There should also be the opportunity to find out more about some of the local clubs and organizations.

For more information, contact the Parish Clerk, Dinah Farley on 01653 628858 or email [email protected]
