Friends of Malton Museum Lecture 16 Nov

Wednesday 16th November, 7.30 pm, West Wing Malton School.

This month’s Friends of Malton Museum Lecture looks at the 15th Century East Window of Holy Trinity Church, Goodramgate.
A talk on the context and evolution of the subject panels in the 15th century East Window by Rob
Andrews.

VENUE – The new classrooms in The WEST Wing, Malton School, Middlecave Road, Malton.
Directions: Enter the OUT gate of the WEST WING, Malton School. The “MUSIC ROOM” is directly in front of you.
Parking space is to the left of this building. The NEW CLASSROOMS are to the RIGHT OF this building.
STARTING TIME 7.30 p.m.
Guests are very welcome – guest admission is £5.00 per lecture.

FOSS Christmas Fair – 26 November

Saturday 26th November, 11am to 3pm, Slingsby Village Hall

Come and help us celebrate Christmas at our Fair complete with stalls of locally made items, a chance to meet Santa in his grotto, refreshments including home baked items and mulled wine, tombola, raffle, face painting and children’s activities. All money raised goes to Friends of Slingsby School. We look forward to seeing you there for some festive fun.

Castle Howard’s latest Christmas extravaganza opens on Saturday 12 November and continues until 2 January.

After last year’s Christmas in Narnia, Charlotte Lloyd Webber returns with her latest creative spin on the Christmas theme, bringing us a wonderland of happily ever afters, fair maidens and magic. You will meet Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, and Goldilocks, among many other familiar characters, as you walk through lavishly decorated rooms. The immersive light and soundscape culminates in the Long Gallery for the wedding of Cinderella and Prince Charming.
