The amounts collected this year for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal were :- Fryton £58, Slingsby £492, South Holme £26.
Total from our parish therefore £576.

Carol singing is on Tuesday 15th December. Meet at The Methodist Chapel Slingsby at 6pm to sing in Porch Farm Close, The Sycamores and Sycamore Close, then from 7pm in The Grapes.
Wednesday 16th December 2015 – Soupa lunch Christmas special in the Methodist Schoolroom Slingsby at 12 noon.
Come and join us for soup, sandwiches and a pudding, all with a Christmas flavour.
A Concert for the season of Advent and Christmas at All Saints Church Hovingham today, Sunday 6th December, at 5 p.m.
The concert will be performed by The Ampleforth & Ryedale Concert Choir, directed by William Dore.
Music by Handel, Mendelssohn, Warlock & Willcocks, and carols for all to sing.
Entry price: £10 including refreshments (under 16yrs, free).
