Dr Pete Wilson of Rarey Archaeology will guide two tours of Orchard Fields Roman Fort, Malton.
Much of the defences of the Fort survive as earthworks. The tour will examine the visible earthworks and put the Fort into the wider context of Roman Malton and Norton.
Please note this is a walking tour and the ground is uneven underfoot.
WHERE TO MEET AND PARK
Please meet outside the Old Lodge, Old Maltongate, Malton YO17 7EG. The nearest parking is Wentworth Street Pay and Display, and Orchard Fields is a 5-10 minute walk uphill.

Slingsby Ladies Group will meet in the Methodist Chapel schoolroom at 7.15 p.m. on Tuesday 11th July. The talk is on National Trust coastlines. Anyone interested is welcome to come.
