We have been contacted about a cat that has been missing from Barton-le-Street – the details are below:

Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Zoe Metcalfe has launched an online survey this week which invites the public to complete a set of questions that will gauge the level of public trust and confidence in policing response across North Yorkshire and York.  

The survey takes under 5 minutes to complete and is open to everyone, whether they’ve been a victim of a crime, a witness, a suspect or have an opinion to give on how they would perceive to be treated by the police if a situation occurred.  

Responses will influence Commissioner Zoe’s wider work, to promote change, ensure accountability and spread best practice and high standards of Police service.

This year the All Souls Benefice Service will take place on Wednesday 2^nd November at 7pm in Slingsby Church.

Please join us for this very special service which will consist of short prayers and Taize music led by the Music Group, with a reading of names of loved ones lost this year and in the past.

Full Time Teaching Assistant with Lunch Time Duties

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated Advanced Teaching Assistant to become part of our successful team.  They will be working with our Class 1 teacher to support teaching and learning with individuals and small groups within our EYFS and Year 1 ages under the direction of the teaching staff.  They will assist and contribute to planning, delivery and evaluation of the children’s learning. They may be responsible for some learning within the overall teaching plans. Initially this will be a 35-hour fixed term contract with the opportunity for it to become permanent. Applicants with a passion and deep understanding of EYFS are particularly encouraged to apply.
